HOW TO MAKE CHAFFLES

What is a Chaffle? It’s a waffle with shredded cheese and egg, and nothing else is needed! Just those two ingredients! I like a mix of Mozzarella and Parmigiano Reggiano, but you can use any cheese you like! It’s very nice with a touch of pressed garlic in the batter. They turn out best if you use a Belgian waffle maker.

INGREDIENTS 2 Chaffles

2,5 dl shredded cheese, I normally use 1 dl Parmigiano Reggiano and 1,5 dl Mozzarella.

2 eggs

Add the garlic or herbs if you wanna spice things up a bit! Another option that is nice is to have some cinnamon or vanilla added if you want a sweeter version.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Mix the ingredients.
  2. Pour the batter slowly into a preheated waffle iron! They are done in 3-4 minutes.
  3. Serve with maple syrup, ham, vegetables or eat them as they are!
